Company history and philosophy
The office was founded in 1969 by Dipl.-Ing. Walter Wörle. In this period special knowledge of grain silos and other agrarian constructions was established.
Additional to regular engineering problems silo constructions of great extend national and abroad were designed up to execution design. In 1996 Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Pius Wörle took over the direction of the company. Thereby the office could gain professional knowledge of timber constructions and ferro concrete bridge constructions (primarily arch bridge constructions), which has been used in numerous projects.
In 2003 the individual enterprise was changed into an engineering consulting company with em. Univ. Prof. Dipl.- Ing. Dr. techn. Lutz Sparowitz as managing partner. Within this partnership the office got its current size. Special knowledge of bridge constructions could increase, particularly as a result of the cooperation with the research work of the Technical University of Graz. Numerous special engineering problems in the fields of timber-, ferro concrete- and prestressed concrete constructions were solved.
Further education of the employees is appreciated in the form of special trainings, respectively dissertations. In cooperation with the work of the educational establishments of the city Graz (Technical University Graz and University of Applied Sciences Joanneum, study course: Construction Design and Economics) and the thereby generated synergies the know how could be maintained on a high level.
