Em. Univ. Prof. Dipl.- Ing. Dr. techn. Lutz Sparowitz has been chairman of the department of concrete- and ferro concrete constructions of the Technical University Graz and was in this position responsible for the education of construction engineers in the fields of concrete-, ferro concrete-, and prestressed ferro concrete constructions.
Beside this activity relevant research and dissertations are worked out by the department of concrete- and ferro concrete constructions. Especially in the specific field of ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) the department still does a lot of research.
Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Pius Wörle is additional to his work as managing partner of the engineering consulting company Wörle Sparowitz Ingenieure assistant lecturer of the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum in Graz study course Construction Design and Economics. He is entrusted with the courses timber construction, integrated support structures, and project work: civil engineering. The course instructions of the course project work: civil engineering are focused on ferro concrete bridge constructions.
Beside the teaching activity many diploma and bachelor theses were mentored.
QUICKWAY
QUICKWAY is a research project of the civil engineering companies Wörle Sparowitz Ingenieure and Hans Lechner ZT in cooperation with Institut für Betonbau, Institut für Baubetrieb, Institut für Bauwirtschaft and the Labor für konstruktiven Ingenieurbau from the University of Technology of Graz.
